Profile

Felix Stoffel, born November 6th, in 1959 in Atlanta, is the founder of various theoretical models and practical methods, that cover especially the nature of human communication In a new way. So already in the 80`s of the past century he put the serious changes of the starting era of information in words and already realized the high demands on the future society of communication. He made an apprenticeship as a medical hypnosis therapist at the IATH in Zurich and conferred a doctorate on the topic "The Interdisciplinary Analysis Of Human Communication" at the philosophical faculty of the English Commonwealth Open University.

In the mid-80's he established a revolutionary tool for the preparation of knowledge, which is commercialize world-wide and successfully today under the term "Stoffel's Conception" by the firm of the same name. On the occasion of an international congress in 1988 in Zurich, he demonstrated the difference between actions done during a state of being awake and those done during a hypnoid (=state of trance between being awake and asleep). This demonstration happened in connection with a woman who had been drawing on the podium directly in front of the audience (Details in accordance to that in the book "Modern Ways Of Suggestion", Springerverlag).

Starting in 1990 his wife Ellen and he lived in Luxembourg, in order to gain new insights about cultural (especially social, economical and political) trends the wider European field.

At the beginning of 1993 he opened a place for training in Graubünden, in which for the first time he officially gave lessons to people in his philosophic-analytic way of working and equally continued again with his former experiments with an independent drawing therapy.

Under the term "Interdisciplinary Analysis Of Communication" he finally developed a comprehensive tool, to research the causes of psychosomatic problems. He worked many years with that system and taught it in his private institute in Graubünden until 1999.

Besides Felix Stoffel started early with a career as an artist (his artist-biography is in the epilogue). Because thanks to the circumstance that art had always been appreciated and supported within his family, dealing with it has become one of the most important pieces of his work (since his childhood he had been taught the craft of painting by his maternal grandfather, the architect and painter William Dunkel).
